Located in Davis Bay just steps from the beach. Joe’s is a blend of our love for all things 80s, a breathtaking beach location, approachable food + drink and our own brand of warm/cheeky Sunshine Coast hospitality.

This is a bustling neighbourhood Restaurant + Bar located in the newly branded Oceanside Hotel in Davis Bay. Joe’s is a new project from 2 locals, who live just a few blocks from here.. Josh King and Mariano De Barba. You’ll find them in Joe’s daily, so if you need anything let

When Josh was a teenager one of his first jobs was in a Pizza, Steak & Seafood house Palermo’s in West Vancouver, owned by a wonderful Greek family and many of their friends owned similar places all over the city.

We wanted to pay homage to those buzzing local restaurants of 80’s and reimagined what they could be like today! Places like Colosseum, Nick’s Steak &
spaghetti, Palermo’s and many more that made great food, wonderful hospitality from the owners and they were the hubs of their neighbourhood’s.

It was important that we take into consideration the changing ways people eat, as well as add some of our favourite foods from in our travels and a hint of Josh’s German heritage.

We are a place where approachable comfort food + drink is fresh and fun, seasonal events like “Now we eat Lobster”, “Don’t be Crabby” and other seasonal events keep things interesting for the locals and summer guests.

The design is what we call retro surfer shack meets the Pacific West coast. Its bustling and welcoming, the interior is bright and airy. Huge walls of glass on all sides, create the best ever changing views anywhere on the Sunshine coast.

The painted pine panelling, walls of expansive glass, lofty ceilings and vintage chairs hint at nostalgic pizzeria, but the industrial light fixtures, a happening
ounge + bar area, open and varied seating arrangements, are definitely of today, while the wood fired oven, the hand stamped pizza boxes and artful displays of tinned tomatoes, the upbeat tunes, read as flashes of colour, excitement and fun.
